  Bak in Soul.

Can A Band Look Cooler?, originally uploaded by Kim Pierro.

I have returned to the place I currently call home.
NYC was quite fun. My duties call for me to return either this weekend or a couple of weeks after.

By the way, I want to learn how to play the saxophone after viewing this picture.

Day was dull. Working behind a desk can be such a drag. Especially the day after a holiday. Mum cooked a mean rice-cake soup for New Years. Normally, you find beef floating around the soup, this time it was luscious oysters. I'm facing quite a bit of resistance at the workplace when requesting equipment that is more appropriate for my tasks. COX appears to be vehemently opposed to purchasing any Mac products for some odd reason. It doesn't matter that most of my output is in the form of a non-Powerpoint presentation. They would rather I take a bit longer while having zero access to the trillions of fonts that are available from the graphic design team. The answer is the typical stonewall: "No Way. Against company policy." Fucking bureaucrats, they can't be reasoned with.

Met briefly with a very nice German couple called Ha*mut & Ol*a last night to say farewell. They will embark on a long journey back to their motherland by way of Chinese freighter off the coast of Western Korea enroute to some Chinese port where they will then board onto a train and travel West while stopping off at Moskova for one night before completing their trip to Germany. Safe travels my friends.

More later...
