I had a rough week.
Not enough sleep? Abnormal sleeping patterns? Residual jetlag? A dash of all. Returned to the office last Monday with a major chip on my shoulder. I came to the realization that I will never feel comfortable returning to an office of neatly organized cubicles with the atmosphere of a library in suburban New Jersey. After spending some time over with my co-conspirators in nyc, where the studio is filled with the beautiful buzz of ideas ricocheting off walls, where there are no enclosed office rooms, where a pleasantly annoying white noise from Broadway finds its way up to the 11th floor... I feel like I'm working for an insurance company with design capabilities. I should get to bed earlier and stay away from the caffeine.
Watched 'Cigarettes & Coffee' by Jim Jarmusch with the Sweetheart this weekend. We especially enjoyed the scene where RZA + GZA hang with Bill Murray. RZA goes off about how bad coffee, specifically the caffeine, is for you. How it leads to a state of irritability and increased bowel movement. Definitely recommend this one.
Also recommend this band. A few of my ex-mates doing some groovy shit.
Or how about some free music from me to you.
Have a nice day!
Very sensitive to bacteria found in low-quality sustenance.
